A free webinar on Pavement Marking Selection and Installation Inspection will be on Monday, December 12, 2016, from 1:30 – 3:00 pm by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT). This webinar will provide an introduction to IDOT’s pavement marking policy and pavement marking selection guide. Also an introduction on the various types of pavement marking materials available and how to select the optimum marking materials based upon the pavement type and traffic volumes. Instructions on how to inspect the installation of markings and guidance on basic inspection tools and how to assemble a toolkit for use in the field will be provided. The webinar information is intended for personnel in design, maintenance and construction.
