The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) announced a full closure of U.S. 14 roadway east of Illinois 23, in Harvard, beginning on Monday, July 11, 2016 (weather permitting). U.S. 14 will be closed a 1/2 mile east of Illinois 23 from Monday, July 11, 2016, to Friday, July 15, 2016. A posted detour will direct traffic on U.S. 14 around the closure using Illinois 23 and Dunham Road. Local traffic can travel on U.S. 14 as far north as the work site.
The closure is for the removal and replacement of the drainage structure. The project is expected to be completed in Summer 2016.
