The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is now accepting applications for FY 2018 Truck Access Route Program (TARP). This program helps local governments upgrade roads to accommodate 80,000 pound truck loads. TARP funding is not intended for pavement preservation or maintenance projects.
TARP provides $45,000 per lane mile and $22,000 per eligible intersection, with a total project funding up to one-half of the project cost and a not-to-exceed $900,000 per project.
