A new interactive data visualization, “A day in the life of the Chicago transportation system”, offers a glimpse of all the vehicle trips taken in our region on a typical day. This data is from the Travel Trends Snapshot, which was recently released by the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP). This snapshot details factors that influence people’s travel behaviors and how those behaviors affect our region’s transportation system.
