A full-day workshop on innovative bikeway design, based on the National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO) Urban Bikeway Design Guide, will be held on Tuesday, May 24, from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm at CMAP’s office (233 S. Wacker Dr., Suite 800, Chicago).
The workshop will be hosted by Ride Illinois, Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) and the Chicago Metro Section of the American Planning Association – Illinois Chapter.
Participants will learn state-of-the-practice solutions for on-street bikeways, based on lessons learned from the world’s best bicycling cities, and apply these lessons in a workshop. The design charrette format will incorporate classroom and field activities, and provide a forum for dialogue and engagement between engineers, planners, and other professionals.
Register for the workshop (limited to 50 participants).
